Pros

- Intensive days for summer (july / august) - Intensive fridays - Bonus (although it is not clear at all)

Cons

- You can't grow up in the company. No new projects or if they create new projects, old manager from other projects are move into. - You have a lot of problems to raise your salary. No opportunities and they don't promote you, although you are doing your best and improving continuosly the product. - A lot of meetings saying "nothing", elderly people saying "we are working on it!, we are following our goal". But at the end, you don't see the results in your bonus or salary - 2 days per week at the office without option to change it. They only want to see people in the office, but they don't think about your situation. - You can't decide nothing without your "manager" approval. When your manager thinks that the company is their, you have a big problem to fight for your or your team. You receive only empty words, it means, they promise you they are doing all in their hands, but it is not true. - We are working with OKR, but the objectives are not related with your work or you can't do anything to achieve it. Only you waste your time in the LEAD meetings. They are useless, they are not reflected in your salary, bonus...

Thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry that you are not feeling more positively about your experience with us. With regard to growth, we have invested heavily in a new platform, the Talent Marketplace that has been set to give colleagues access to a myriad of personal and professional opportunities like never before. We appreciate that the resource is still fairly new but we encourage you to explore more of what it can offer you. There are projects being advertised constantly in the form of what we are calling 'gigs.' These should give you the opportunity to really showcase your skills, learn new skills and develop your expertise but also these gigs put you in contact with new colleagues from all over the business which builds your network. We are also encouraging our colleagues to simplify the way they work and this includes scrutinising the need for meetings to ensure that time is spent wisely and equates to productivity. Our hybrid working framework is essential to enhancing team and cross-functional collaboration amongst colleagues but also, it is at the heart of our culture being that we are a human-centric organisation. We strongly believe in the power of that human connection. If you have any other lingering concerns about the model of working, please speak to your manager or wider team or you could contact us at colleaguesurvey@sage.com We also encourage you to speak to your manager about your concerns about your OKRs and your desire to have more control over making certain decisions in your work. If you do not feel comfortable speaking with them, please reach out to your wider team or to us through the email above because we want to ensure you are being supported and set up to thrive. We truly appreciate you taking the time to leave your remarks and we hope to keep hearing from you regularly so that we can knock down barriers for you to succeed more and more every time!

Pros

-Pay’s decent -Benefits are solid -The Sage Foundation feels like proper philanthropy -Some genuinely nice people -If you’re happy treating work as just a payslip and don’t mind things being a bit dull, Sage is actually quite a comfortable place to be. That stability is a real perk

Cons

-Far too many layers of middle management and general bureaucracy -The Ai push is getting a bit daft -Not especially innovative, so the work can feel quite uninspiring. I’m grateful to be employed, but if you’re after something more interesting, Sage will probably disappoint. That said, some people prefer it that way, fair enough -The office / hybrid requirements feel a bit pointless -Sage doesn’t tend to do layoffs, which is good, but it does mean there are quite a few people where you’re not entirely sure what they do. A lot of meetings, essentially. Even the positives come with trade-offs

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful and balanced review. We’re pleased to hear that you value your compensation and benefits, as well as the work our Foundation do, among the areas you’ve highlighted. We also recognise the points you’ve raised around bureaucracy, innovation, and the pace and focus of change. Different people are motivated by different things at work, and it’s helpful to hear honest perspectives on how our structure, processes, and priorities can impact day‑to‑day experience and engagement. Feedback like yours helps inform ongoing conversations as we continue to evolve our ways of working, use technology more meaningfully, and improve the products and experiences we create for our customers. If you’re open to sharing further insight, we encourage you to do so through our Always Listening survey. Thank you again for your openness and for being part of Sage.
