Pros
If you are passionate about recruiting they give you the free reign to pursue candidates and companies to build your book of business as much as you want without red tape or corporate policies getting in the way. This is an autonomous environment without micromanaging, you work between their 4 offices. Partners and management genuinely care about you, often working right next to you.
Cons
Training has a long way to go, they do their best but you are often left on your own to figure it out. Other groups (ATG, TNG, KBW) have much more support, SSP is the baby of the group and lack the experience and structure of the other groups. If you come from a recruiting background or have the passion to simply push through the lack of training and support it is a great place to thrive. Otherwise you will struggle.
