Pros
The pro is the pay is somewhat ok but then this is offset by the long unpaid hours so virtually no pros
Cons
The training provided was extremely poor and rushed. New tasks were introduced at month-end without prior instruction, leading to confusion and mistakes that were only identified after submitting the P&Ls.
Communication from the financial controller was severely lacking. They were introverted, rarely provided training or guidance, and often responded with vague answers due to being constantly busy.
The Finance Director was notably absent and failed to address concerns or offer assistance when needed.
The files used were in disarray, with numerous formulas that didn't work and features that were never adequately explained or handed over. Despite the financial controller's knowledge of the files, they failed to provide coherent information.
The company faced significant purchase order (PO) issues. Manually entering updates to schedules and dealing with discrepancies between invoices and PO values proved challenging due to convoluted Excel files and missing training on essential items.
