Pros

I really enjoyed my time working at Salvo Software. They care about their employees and try their best to ensure a good work-life balance. They are really comprehensive and empathetic. Here you won't be just an employee or a number, here you will be valued as a person. Their transparency applies not only to their clients but also to their teammates, you can have clear and honest communication with them.

Cons

There are no cons, but there are some things to remember when coming here. This is a startup environment with massive potential growth, for this reason, it will require a flexible mindset and someone who is adaptable to grow with them since there will be times when some projects may be paused to dedicate time to new ones, and it also means that sometimes you will be required to use multiple hats at once.

Pros

Salvo offers dynamic work experiences that engage with interdisciplinary skill sets. They don't dwell on problems, but rather tackle projects by focusing on a range of solution-based strategies. My tasks rarely seem dead-end nor redundant, and each assignment has offered me opportunities for honing my professional skills. I feel like my contributions are respected, and that my liberal arts background is viewed as a valuable asset to the development process. Salvo's work culture is positive and motivating. Feedback is delivered candidly and suggestions are provided in a constructive manner. The flexible schedule, transparent communication style, and relaxed working environment make me feel humanized rather than like a cog in the machine. Even though the hours can be quite long, or the scope of the project seems intense, the results are tangible and it's clear that the team has their act together. They do the extra research and don't cut corners on keeping up standards. It shows with the level of detail they put into drafting documentation or revising products prior to launch. The additional time it takes to make things just right is worth the quality of results.

Cons

The hours can be long sometimes, or tasks can be brought up later in the day, but this is compensated by the three day weekends and a flexible working schedule. Management could improve speed of communication, clarify project responsibilities and indicate deadlines more explicitly in Asana. I'd say most of the cons are just growing pains, since the business is relatively younger yet expanding.
