Pros

Flexible with your life as you need. Employer cares about quality of work and quality of work life balance.

Cons

Overall a smaller company so advancement typically will take more time as there are simply fewer positions to fit into and retention is pretty high.

Pros

I love working for SMI. It is the best company I have ever worked for and I want to be a part of this ministry for as long as I am working. Great employers/employee relationship. Great coworkers. Great pay. Great benefits.

Cons

It is a big company, so it can be hard to make relationships. However, SMI works hard to bridge any gaps that are there.

Pros

Working here has been a deeply rewarding experience. The organization is unapologetically Christ-centered, and that commitment shines through in every aspect of the culture. Leadership genuinely cares for the staff—not just professionally, but personally and spiritually. There’s a strong sense of community, purpose, and mutual respect that makes coming to work feel meaningful. The culture is built on grace, integrity, and service. It’s refreshing to be part of a team that seeks to honor Christ in everything we do, from strategic decisions to daily interactions. You’re not just an employee here—you’re valued as a whole person. The emphasis on staff development and well-being is real, not just a talking point. If you're looking for a workplace where faith and excellence go hand in hand, and where leadership leads with humility and compassion, this is the place.

Cons

Healthcare sharing operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and a readiness to pivot as needs and circumstances evolve.
