Cons
Just before we start please understand that every single positive review here was written by someone at the company after they were pressured by the CEO. Basically Samedan is very poorly run. Like many small companies, the CEO is king. Answering to the person who pays your salary in a role like this isn’t great. She has no concern whatsoever for anyone’s wellbeing and she wants her employees to have University degrees While paying them minimum wage. I made about 17k while here, but recently I’ve seen that the Journalist potions being advertised are also on this 17k salary - when it used to be 21k... Now if you read through these reviews you will see that the Boss is not a nice person. Now imagine this boss when COVID was happening. Forced back into the office straight away needlessly, attempt to make everyone come in during lockdown, no mask wearing or any other precautions taken for people coming in during the worst of COVID - you are basically gaslight into feeling ridiculous if you care and please remember this is a company that is a Pharmaceutical publishing company - how is that for irony. Also if you want another good example, a heavily pregnant employee was not allowed to work from home... during COVID... Generally a very unprofessional company - if you slack off, or try hard the boss will not view you in any different way. So my advice, if you absolutely have to work here - put as little effort in as possible.
