      Pros

      They provide a lot of PD opportunities, my principal was amazing to work with, the pay was competitive for the area, and they hire a lot of people from neighboring towns.

      Cons

      The commute - which was the only downside.

      Pros

      Helping kids you know couldn't make it through their day without you. Knowing you are helping them grow is amazing. Building those friendships and letting them know they can trust you. Seeing them make strides because you've helped teach them how to manage emotions.

      Cons

      They do not take care of their people. If anything, they add to an already stressful job. You do this job for the kids you are helping, not for the department.
