Management Overall Company Working not Working
Pros
There are multiple : the offices are colorful, you can have free breakfast in the morning, you have all the "regulars" (Swile, mutuelle, transport covered), benefits related to group Iliad/Free (freebox, profit sharing scheme), etc But what I appreciate is that Scaleway is a company that changes fast (which is something not everyone would appreciate, but I do) and the goal is always to innovate, so there is always something new to learn or a new perspective to have which intellectually stimulates you a lot
Cons
I guess the fast environment could be a negative for some people I saw comments saying that the communication is not the best and it's not transparent, being here for 2 years I can say that it has changed a lot and I would say that the transparency is there today There probably are others, but I don't remember
Pros
Collaborative Team: I've had the pleasure of working with a highly talented and supportive team. The collaborative spirit and passion among my colleagues were one of the main highlights of my time here. Innovative Projects: There was a strong focus on product evolution in the past, with meaningful goals that aligned with impactful work. I genuinely enjoyed being part of those initiatives.
Cons
Upper Management Attitude: More emphasis is placed on proving our worth to stakeholders than on evolving our product or achieving meaningful goals. This shift has been mentally draining. Culture Shift: Scaleway’s company culture has taken a significant turn. The open, global-focused culture has shifted to a more regional, inward-facing approach. The environment now feels more controlled, with an emphasis on monitoring what is said or done. This atmosphere stifles open communication and creates a difficult working environment. Focus on Deliverables Over Meaningful Progress: The constant pressure to prove worth rather than focusing on product improvements detracts from the company’s long-term success. It creates a lack of motivation for those who want to see real, positive change.
