Pros

Before the SG acquisition, WMS Gaming was an amazing place to work. We had so many talented and incredible people, an excellent product line, and the company legitimately cared about employees and made them feel valuable. WMS was generous and motivated employees with stock options, performance-based bonuses, and a great work environment. It was collaborative, stimulating, and fun.

Cons

After the SG acquisition and multiple lay offs, it was clear that the company focus was on the bottom line, not the quality of the product or employee retention.

Pros

Great work/life balance, reliable teamwork and support from management, opportunities for growth and exposure to new skills.

Cons

Coaching/overseeing a team in itself has a set of cons, which is what I primarily handle on a daily basis. This comes with any job, but you will have people on your team who need to improve on things such as lack of communication, lack of effort, no work ethic, and lack of skills. Motivating them can be difficult at times, and then you always seem to have a few who do things to avoid work. An accumulation of all these factors subsequently creates more, unnecessary, and redundant work for us. These types of people tend to eliminate themselves out over time due to poor performance and/or quit.

Pros

Pay, share same holidays with PA DOR, experience and exposure to products and worldwide lottery and gaming

Cons

work/life balance, management, office politics and favoritism, lack of organization and communication, very inclusive unless you're a woman and have an opinion, job titles do not match role expectations and job duties
