If you are reading this, you are more then likely considering employment with Scientific Search. First and foremost, Please trust me when I say the positive reviews on glassdoor for this company are fake/forced. They were done in response to the previous negative reviews, so please do not let them fool you. The salary is entry level and the benefits are absolutely horrible. The commission is a percent of a percent of a percent and that will only go up once you make the company exponentially more than your earnings. While it may go up in time, that is completely dependent on the jobs you are given to work (which is beyond your control). New people will typically get the jobs no seasoned recruiter wants to take, so they will be difficult to fill. Also, in your first 6 months, you MUST get 6 placements/fills or you will be let go. This is where the jobs you work being beyond your control really comes into play. Your manager will be leveraging your financial stability with jobs they can't give to anyone else, but you are new so if you don't make it, it's not a loss to them. Finally, the management staff is the most unprofessional, narcissistic, egotistical group of people you will ever and I mean EVER meet. They have treated employees with such disrespect that it truly borders on harassment. If this were a corporate environment with a real Human Resources department the number of lawsuits and terminations would be staggering, to say the least. The actions of upper management that are continuously overlooked can be stopped by one person and that is the owner. Sadly it has been made abundantly clear that if you make him enough money you are above the law. The only thing I can really say is if you are not happy in your current job and looking to make a move trust me, keep looking, this place is not the answer. If you want to roll the dice and do accept a position at Scientific Search you will see for yourself soon enough. Good luck and I hope this helps.
