One of Sconet’s business strategy is to net young promising IT professionals at a lower rate, get them to sign into a binding 3-year contract, then collect margin when placed at a client. The employee will no longer have say in salary or career direction because the 3 year contract is 100% totally binding. You cannot leave for any reason whatsoever; not to go back to school, not to become an accountant, no reason. If you leave, they will 100% sue you and hope for a default judgement. Since the defendant is a young professional that is underpaid, it’s likely that a lack of maturity and finances hinder their chances to fight back.
