Pros
Fair pay and camaraderie among non-management staff.
Cons
At Scoop Robotix, the lack of transparency from management was concerning, leaving employees feeling uninformed about important decisions. This was especially surprising for such a small company, where the top-down approach offered little chance for input from lower-level staff, with feedback often being dismissed outright. Many employees, myself included, felt a disconnect between what we were promised during the interview process and what we experienced after joining. For example, team size, remote working policies, role scope, and opportunities for growth, leadership, and even collaboration. Job titles are arbitrary, which is common in many small companies, but be cautious when seeing Director or Team Lead roles at the company as the structure is almost completely flat across the organization. The lack of proper onboarding and offboarding procedures left new hires feeling lost, while unrealistic goals and timelines negatively impacted team morale. Micromanagement from executives made it difficult to achieve any sense of job satisfaction or impact in most roles across the company.
