Pros

If you enjoy dealing with people then it is an ideal position. The role is extremely client centric and very involves heavy interaction with both internal and external stakeholders

Cons

Difficult to move. Long hours. Strict and hard deadlines with many conflicting tasks. Not supported well by management. Not privy to what is going on in the bank - kept as silos. Are reliant on many other departments to get simple processes done yet not given access. Must be willing to take the brunt of client complaints on a regular basis - they will always be directed to you to fix even if you have no control or authority over the situation or an ability to resolve it.

Pros

A couple of smart people who are kind and open to mentoring. Hours not bad given no deal flow in US.

Cons

Top heavy management. Culture values heavy politicking. Low bonuses.
