Business outlook
Pros
The pay and some conditions are good and this is mainly down to the great effort of trade unions who work very hard on behalf of its members and it also benefits non union staff as the company uses the union agreement to award non union staff with the same pay and conditions.
Cons
Ageism, sexism & favouritism is rife. Currently the company has deemed it positive to get rid of 250 permanent staff. Agency are becoming far more common and are seen as a expendable cheaper option. Very poor recruitment prospects for internal staff the use of a STAR interview process is seen as a joke and many staff have either not applied for a job vacancy or pulled out of job vacancy applications when it is found out who the job vacancy is for.
