Pros
The community at this company is very strong. When it comes to the people I work with, everyone is willing to help teach and assist you with whatever you need. I love that the company takes real effort towards getting people together for events. I believe the pay is above market rate for most jobs, and especially for interns. The company's goals are easy to feel passionate about if you love the idea of working towards reducing carbon emission and building renewable energy. The CEO has dinner with every new employee which is really cool. The company is also pretty young, which makes it fun to go into the office. The company is looking to double this year, so the financial outlook is very very positive.
Cons
I believe the PTO is below market average. Adding more company-wide holidays would help too. Health care is a bit costly and doesn't cover procedures outside of preventative care very well. For a small company, it might be better than average or worse, I do not know. The company is younger, with similar numbers of men and women, but lacks racial and ethnic diversity (but so does all of Boulder). The company does not provide visa sponsorship.
