Flexible schedule, healthcare exposure, room for growth. If you're thinking about a career in medicine I highly encourage you to try scribing. You will learn what the everyday workload looks like for a doctor and will interact with staff at all levels. ScribeAmerica in particular encourages college students to apply and will work with you so that you can scribe for a doctor in a specific specialty if a certain one interests you.
Cons
Managers are on-call 24/7 no matter their employment status (part or full-time). Very little training for the manager position. As with any healthcare job, it can be very stressful and you will see patients in horrible conditions, some of which can not be helped. Mentally prepare yourself for that before applying. Note: I would give the company 5 stars if I was reviewing for a non-managerial position. Upper management was too disorganized when I was there, though this may have improved since then.
