Pros

- None Whatsoever. - It was a horrible experience working in this company.

Cons

- The company culture is very toxic. Workers are pitted against each other and not united to collaborate. A culture of blame is prevalent in this company. - Staff turnover is very high. Employees are constantly joining and resigning after a few months. It's like a revolving door. - The company is a father-son family business. The founder and boss is old (about 70 years old) and the son is not as capable. This company is good for on the job training to gain experience but not for long term career prospects. - Salary is very low and the company sub-contracts out a lot of work to Myanmar and India. - Management leadership is non-existent. The company does a lot of marketing to secure new contracts but projects are poorly executed. Most of the project work is sent to low cost base countries like Myanmar and India where labor is cheap. Practically no design capability in their Singapore office which mainly comprises project managers to handle time scheduling only. - If the aging boss retires, many of the senior workers will most likely not stay on in the company. Definitely not a place for young, budding engineers to seek a rewarding long term career.

Pros

None whatsoever, there was absolutely no support, and the management’s approach was both poor and excessively tight with resources.

Cons

They provide a job title, yet much of the work you’re expected to do goes beyond what is outlined in the employment contract. Although salaries are due on the last day of the month, they are occasionally disbursed very late in the evening. The Chinese New Year angbao is not an additional benefit; instead, the amount is deducted from your salary, essentially placing a portion of your own pay into a red packet.

Pros

A good workplace for gaining hands-on experience in the marine and engineering field. Teams are generally helpful and willing to guide new staff. Exposure to a wide range of projects, giving employees strong technical knowledge. Management recognises effort and is supportive when issues are raised.

Cons

Work can be intense depending on project schedules. Some internal processes could be more streamlined to improve efficiency.
