Pros

* Some colleagues are supportive and collaborative * Decent location and office facilities

Cons

* There is a clear lack of fairness in how employees are treated across departments. * Favouritism is deeply embedded in the culture — certain individuals are protected at all costs, even when their conduct is unprofessional or harmful to team dynamics. * Leadership tends to ignore issues when raised by staff who aren't part of the "inner circle." * Advancement and recognition are often based on personal connections rather than merit, performance, or contribution. * There is a noticeable lack of diversity in leadership, and those who fall outside a certain demographic often find it harder to be included, supported, or promoted. * Concerns about equality or conduct are often dismissed or downplayed, making it difficult to trust HR or upper management. * Constructive feedback is not always welcome — raising valid concerns can lead to being sidelined. * A culture of silence and fear of retaliation exists, especially for those not favoured by management. * High turnover in some departments due to dissatisfaction and lack of opportunities for growth or fair treatment.

Pros

- a few Partners are very approachable and supportive but they are the vast minority. Also some great people here.

Cons

- a relatively small West End Firm trying to be like a large City Firm; excessive and disproportionate processes for TCs and promotions, decisions are made without any focus or respect for its staff. - does not value it's junior/support staff; if you are looking for a paralegal role, avoid this firm as they will not care about you or your professional development. Paralegals who have the chance to get TCs choose to leave rather than stay and train here. - excessive rules and prerequisites around the TC process, far more complicated than any other West End firm. If looking to train, you are better off aiming for another firm and applying externally to other TCs. - a lot of Partners will invest no time on training and development of their team. You will not feel valued or appreciated, and get used to receiving little to no feedback on your work. - the firm will emphasise that they are looking to improve their culture, but very little is being done to this end. A lot of noise with zero real changes. You will also be told things at interview that are either untrue or not applied equally across the firm. - high turnover rate speaks for itself. Some very good people here who deserve to be treated better and would thrive at more supportive firms.
