Pros
Able to work remotely. Some middle managers are supportive but can't/won't rock the boat with upper management.
Cons
As much as Sedgwick promotes a "work-life balance" they do NOTHING to support that. Caseloads are ridiculously high with unrealistic expectations. They tout a 7.5 hour workday. HA! I know of NO ONE who is able to do this and meet their requirements. You're lucky if you're done after 10 hours a day EVERY DAY. Some employees are given special benefits or OT availability while others are not. I've never been treated with such little lack of respect for my knowledge and experience. You are a robot to churn out the billable hours, nothing more. There is no coverage for PTO, so you kill yourself preparing to go on vacation and it takes weeks upon returning to catch up. They "encourage" your to take your PTO but again, nothing they do supports that. If you balk at anything you are told, "That's just the way it is." There's no hope for any improvement in this cuture.
