Pros
Co workers were great, get to test drive new vehicles like 3 times a year and it was cool working at the Ren Cen downtown.
Cons
Where to start?
You're lured in with a "marketing", "community manager" or "social media marketing" cover, but really you're just reading complaints about GM vehicles for 8 hrs/day.
You're told it's a great stepping stone towards getting hired into GM with marketing/advertising, but you go on to be a glorified version of this position at a dealership in the middle of nowhere.
$14/hour is a joke for anyone with a college degree (required).
Raises only exist if you threaten to leave or are persistent.
Schedules are based on a terrible metric that doesn't gauge whether you're actually a good worker or not.
When you're new or if you're "not performing" as well as others, chances are you'll work nights and weekends.
Since management is hired into GM, most of them are on power trips.
The work is mind numbing.
You're kept out of the loop on everything.
Extremely strict about time management (which isn't wrong, but they take it too far).
You reprimanded/let go for no reason at all.
Turnover is super high due to the above. 0/10 don't work here unless you're desperate for money.
