Pros

Talented, fun people on the sales and customer success team CEO is great.

Cons

Starting at the top, HR here is the biggest gossiper in the organization. So unprofessional, talks out of both sides of her mouth and is horrible to deal with. The top person in Boston is very grumpy and plays favorites. If you are not from his home town or one of his people you do not exist. Never involved but randomly acts like he is and sends out really inauthentic updates to the entire organization. Marketing team is the least effective team in the company and the worst I have seen (5 companies I have worked for). Call meetings asking others to do their work for them. Sales management adds no value to the sales team. Tons of dead weight in management and on the closing sales team. Amazing we are still winning deals, that will dry up soon without change. The culture we all signed up for is gone. Everyone keeps to themselves, when we do socialize which is rare the leader in Boston grabs his friends and goes to a different part of the building (last quarter end party) I have been here 2 years and the first year was amazing, everyone loved coming to work and felt like a real team. My second year has felt like a kick in the stomach. There is no room to grow a career here anymore. All the hires are external and the promotions are not great.

Pros

The best part of working here was my team, everyone I worked with, aside from my direct colleague, was kind, supportive, and willing to help. The PTO policy and flexible work schedule were positive, and the benefits (especially for anyone planning to start a family) were excellent. The overall pay was also competitive.

Cons

The company still operates like a startup. A major challenge was the lack of clear expectations. Tasks were often assigned without context, priorities shifted without communication, and responsibilities were passed around. Feedback was inconsistent, and I was sometimes held accountable for expectations that were never clearly outlined. This made it incredibly difficult to perform at a high level, despite my best efforts. Another concern was the unprofessional behavior from my direct colleague, who spoke negatively about me to multiple people across the org. This created an uncomfortable environment and eroded trust. Because of this I went from being a great employee to nearly being placed on a PIP. Their unclear expectations made success impossible. Clearer goals, consistent communication, and defined accountability, would've prevented me from being set up to fail.
