Recognition of employee contributions is prominently demonstrated at Sensei. There is significant community engagement, including participation in cultural events and the donation of produce. Additionally, the company provides flexible working hours, ample vacation days, and fair compensation for overtime, contributing to a supportive and rewarding work environment.

There is a need for enhanced engagement within the Sensei community, as well as increased opportunities for team and company cohesion. Additionally, the resolution of challenges within the farm tends to progress at a relatively slow pace. Limited access to resources, compounded by transportation and logistical constraints unique to Hawaii, further complicates operational efficiency. Housing options are minimal and should be carefully considered prior to relocation. Furthermore, implementing a lunchroom or providing lunch service at least four days a week would address concerns related to unhealthy eating habits and would likely be highly valued by employees, even if it involves a cost for the service.
