Pros

- Flexible hours - Snacks and occasional friday lunches - ability to work remotely

Cons

- If you got no life and you don't want balance in between life and work then go for this company - Absolutely no support - There's no management and you are on your own for entire project - Founder will make you feel like you are cheap - Most of the time you will work more than 10 hrs a day and NOT get compensated for it. Not even bonus. - He(founder) will hardly appreciate your hard work. - If you ask for raise bcz of your hard work, he will talk about bunch of company unrelated issues with you. - He will never keep his word/promise (lier). - Doesn't go by government labour standards - Sometimes you will need to hear excuses for pay-cheque and possibly wait couple days. - ad hoc approach to every single project. Goal is to just make it work and get the money out of it. - You will be asked to jump from project to project. - You will be underpaid ( if you get hired, he will tell you that he will give you raise based on how you perform. But if you make some mistake during your first few weeks and he finds out then he will make you feel cheap/junior and say that he won't be able to give you more salary bcz you are not good on programming.

Pros

- Perfect place if you want to work with an extremely smart, respectful and self-motivated team. I am constantly amazed by how intelligent and talented these people are. Everyone truly cares about what they do and are constantly sharing their learnings. - Culture of honesty and trust. - Lots of opportunity for personal growth. - Founder is a great boss - really cares about the team, wants to make sure everyone is growing in their role and moving in a direction they want to go in, great with clients, very professional and calm in stressful situations, a great person to learn from. - Work remotely or go into the office - I love having the option to do either. We typically try to come into the office Tuesdays and Fridays so that we're all together at least a couple days a week. - If you’re looking for a corporate culture this is not the place for you! Super easy going environment, flexible hours, and opportunities to travel while working remotely. - Beautiful office space - currently in Startwell on King - lots of beautiful rooms, designated desks, complimentary latte hour, fresh fruit water daily, socials on Thursdays -Very reasonable salaries -We don’t have a specific benefits package but you can expense what you need

Cons

Serind Labs is such a unique company, it’s hard to think of a con. We could use another project manager but we’re on the hunt for one.

Pros

- Free Snacks (not stocked up) - Beer fridge - small team - occasional team lunches on Friday

Cons

- all these good reviews were just asked for it. (Run the company in a way so that no one has to beg for good reviews) - be ready to hear a lot of fake promises. - sometimes you will hear about cashflow issues(not sure true or false as I can't trust founder fully) but because of this cashflow issue your pay cheque might be late - really bad salaries, way under market value - you are expected to work extra hours, and there's no compensation for that. - founder will tell you to be transparent in front of client about the project progress but then he just keeps on making fake promises to client. - depending on the project load you might be asked to work over the weekends or even come to the office over the weekends. - you will be jumping from project to project. You might be asked to jump on a project that you never worked on and go through someone's code and not knowing the structure/feature or anything (yeah, deal with it because on Monday you will be asked whether you got any progress #pickUpTheProjectInTwoDays). - It's a tech company w/o the perks of working in a tech company. No medical/dental benefits. (no you don't sign any form for benefit) Founder claims that he will cover up to $1500 dental expenses but that's just his words which probably never came true for any employee. - no coding standards, everyone just follows their own convention, no proper QA process, doesn't follow TDD.
