Pros
Very well connected, you meet established individuals in the industry immediately, such as stylists, editors, etc. One could argue they are well known so it looks good on a resume, but from what I understand their reputation has turned sour over the years...I suppose it depends on who you ask.
Cons
Easily the worst professional experience I've ever had. The founder is unstable and very verbally abusive to those around her. This attitude has definitely trickled down to others in the business - a really miserable environment. The owner is also a challenging person to even understand. She would yell at her employees for not doing tasks that she swears she asked them to do, when no one had any clue what she was talking about. Everyday I would hear her yell at those around her and then sit at her computer and say "wow, everyone seems to be in a bad mood today." It was bizarre.. I have worked in fashion for a few years, so I am not new to how tough the industry is, but working there made me feel embarrassed to be affiliated with the company. I truly can't put into words how terrible my experience there was. My final straw was when the owner yelled at me in front of a stylist and the stylist approached me afterwards and apologized because they felt so terribly. Not to mention - payroll was behind by over two weeks at that point. It is hard to justify being verbally assaulted everyday when you don't even see a regular paycheck.
