Pros

Flexible schedule, travel (if you're looking for that), and the robots are cool and promising. The company could be in a much better place with competent management. There is room for learning and growing professionally if you're looking into learning about different areas.

Cons

Boss has no skills that translate into good management or engineering. The engineers (in turn) often find pushback from the manager and his ideas, even when they make absolutely no sense at all. Minimal SOP on ANYTHING makes it hard to progress or learn about the equipment. Especially since there is no training, no onboarding, and zero margin for error. The boss is incredibly racist and you hear the occasional slur and/or racist joke. Sometimes even in the presence of clients. Unfair treatment of other former employees has translated into a couple of lawsuits that the company lost. Mediation between the boss and the other employees is absolutely necessary as there is no emotional control on his end. He lets his emotions control him and this often results into belittlement and even insults in some rare instances. All of the previous (and more) create a high-stress and toxic environment/work place that offers high risk and little-to-no reward.

Pros

The robots are cool and you'll likely get to see the sewers of the world. The boss doesn't quite know what he's doing so you are free to set your own tasks.

Cons

The boss doesn't know what he's doing so he might force you onto tasks that are not useful or have incredibly unrealistic. You'll have to do a lot of interpersonal labour in terms of figuring out what is actually expected of you and what is realistic to achieve. The boss is also a bit of a racist and thinks he knows best about everything. He will be critical if you don't meet his lofty expectations and will take every bit of credit that you do not claim for yourself immediately.
