Pros
Nearly 2 years ago, I was given the opportunity to join Shark Ninja, an organization that (was) is riding high on huge market success based on a single minded obsession- ultimate customer satisfaction. Based on my initial assessment of the organization, I decided to join. On balance, would I make a different decision if I knew then what I know now about Shark Ninja? The Organization culture is based on the premise that people, processes and product can always improve, in fact should and must improve. This is not only driven by the top executives, but by the leaders at all levels of the organization. This, of course, requires all to step up to the challenge, to do what is needed to achieve the required outcomes. As leaders we give our teams the required freedom and encouragement to deploy change, even if it means moving outside our comfort zone! The organization is only as good as its people, its teams. Teamwork at Shark Ninja is amazing, based on positive cross functional support, willingness to both learn and share experiences with each other.
Cons
Growing pains- of course, several. If not Shark Ninja would be the 'perfect organization', something that has yet to be invented!! The assumption that what worked in the past will necessarily work in the future is a barrier the organization must overcome. Also, working in two time zones 12 hours apart is a significant challenge.
