Many decisions have been made unilaterally that many employees are unhappy with. For one, during COVID, they claimed that there never would be a full "return to office" mandate, and it would be "up to the individual department", They have, however, gone back on this and have now done a company-wide RTO mandate. In addition, this decision was made with little input from employees and seemingly without warning.
They are also in the midst of a big push where much of their work is outsourced to a vendor. This, along with RTO, makes one question whether this is a covert way of getting rid of employees. So far, this project has had a number of issues (such as unrealistic deadlines and poor planning) that are obvious to the "lower" employees, while upper management is seemingly "full speed ahead".
