Pros

- Young company, small and agile teams. New employees can take on a client on themselves quickly. - People are quite good and smart. - Office is cool. - Good work from home policy. - Chances of relocation to offices all over the world, at least temporarily. - Before covid, very friendly environment at the office. It works very well as a "first job". The backbone of the company are juniors on their early twenties, so the environment is very young and dynamic. You can learn a lot of stuff quickly during the first year. You can get a very valuable experience on how to deal with clients, present with confidence and so on.

Cons

- Overworking culture. Too many people working too many hours (8 to 8) on a regular basis. - AI is used as a buzzword, it is actually a very small component in the codebase/daily work. - After one year, it gets repetitive. There is little to learn. - It feels like a consulting job. The data scientist must develop what the clients ask them to do, and present them results. It's mostly about execution. - There is little room to grow technically. Sometimes you get a chance to actually work on the product, but it's less than 20% of your time. - There is a lack of senior/experienced developers to learn from, too many juniors.

Pros

- Generous time off policy. 25 days off per year, plus public holidays. - Smart, collaborative colleagues who are passionate about AI and fraud detection. - Fast-growing company, tackling real problems with innovative solutions. - International environment: A diverse and multicultural team with offices in multiple countries. - Autonomy in work where you are given a good level of independence to manage projects and make decisions. - Flexible work arrangements, including remote work.

Cons

- The Data Science management lacks real Data experience and is a behind-industry-standards team. - Human Resources team is a security liability. No more than two months after requiring all employees to sign an addendum banning ChatGPT (allowing only the internal LLM), the human resources team used ChatGPT to summarize confidential employee well-being survey results, inadvertently leaking sensitive information. Despite this breach, no one in that team faced consequences (top management directly responsible), highlighting a double standard in rule enforcement. - The company’s whistleblower process (often suggested after these reviews) is ineffective and serves human resources' interests rather than employees’. Reports go directly to human resources, which uses them to suppress harassment claims and as a mean to forfait your rights. Please don't use it (and if necessary, request legal advise). - Career progression can feel unclear, especially for employees not based in France.
