Pros

- There were bonuses from time to time - nice equipment

Cons

- Salary increase is non-existant - No full remote working for us in Bosnia, but whenever we have a monthly call, we look at them from other countries speaking from home - Most employees are children, including the upper management - The apps and technologies suck, and they cant get any better - on call work with no additional pay (they say you dont have to do it, but pressure and stress you if you dont, the manager also writes to you outside working hours to fix issues) - obvious preferential treatment towards male employees, lots of chauvinistic employees - no feedbacks or performance reviews, promotions depend on how you suck up to the CEO in Bosnia or your superiors - The business model sucks, so many stupid business decisions made that affect employees - You work only with Shopify applications, so there is no room for improvement and to become a serious developer, especially for young developers, this is not a long term company - whenever the people from other countries come visit us in Bosnia, they dont really engage with us, because they look at us as less-than, and I just feel like a lab rat - lots of made-up useless positions - Generally i dont see a reason why a good and respectable developer would work here, unless you are someone who just started their career and has no better options

Pros

As a TA Manager at Shop Circle, I’ve had the chance to see the company from both a people and growth perspective, and overall it’s been a really positive experience. What stands out the most are the people. You’re surrounded by colleagues who are capable, approachable, and genuinely willing to help. There’s very little ego, which makes collaboration feel natural and builds a strong sense of trust, especially when things get busy. It’s honestly a place that makes me look forward to coming to work. It also feels good to represent a company where what you say externally mostly matches what people experience internally. There’s a real focus on growth, ownership, and continuous improvement. At the same time, it is a scaling company. Some things are still being figured out, and not everything is clearly defined yet. If you’re comfortable with a bit of ambiguity and like being part of shaping how things evolve, that can actually be a really rewarding part of the experience. Overall, it’s a grounded, people-focused environment with strong colleagues, real opportunities to grow, and a culture that’s still evolving in a good way.

Cons

- Alignment can take a bit more effort at times, especially in a global setup. - If you prefer very structured, predictable environments, this might occasionally feel a bit unclear.

Pros

What I value most is the opportunity to build, not just execute. Over the past few years I have had the space to shape team structure, introduce engineering processes, drive technical roadmaps alongside product roadmaps, and lead initiatives that have real cross-portfolio impact. That kind of ownership is rare and I do not take it for granted. The organization is genuinely reaching a maturity point where things are becoming more structured and intentional. Feedback culture is actively being built, not just talked about. People are heard, and there is real investment in long-term sustainability of both the product and the people behind it. There is also a strong push toward AI integration across workflows, which keeps the work interesting and forward-looking. I have been able to grow technically and as a leader at the same time, which is not something every company allows.

Cons

The pace of change can be intense, and processes do not always keep up with how fast the organization is moving. This creates temporary uncertainty at times, but the intent is usually communicated clearly enough that things settle relatively quickly.
