Pros

The individual contributors! I've met a great bunch of people there to learn from and have fun together, but most of them are suffering or leaving. The product! While it is a nice to have, companies will get great value out of it if they only understand how or who should do it. The vision of Sales Enablement (and the founders) is still alive and lives in this product!

Cons

Massive turnaround and unclear hiring decisions, especially on director level upwards. And then 12 months later people are let go again one day to the other and everything starts over again while ICs try to keep the ship running and on track. The performance review process is not existing. I had no personal goals throughout my employment, but it doesn't matter as there was no merit cycle anyways for quite a while. But "important" promotions were still done but not communicated to the company. You've learned from LinkedIn who was lucky. Unwanted people were let go regardless of performance or goal achievement anyways. Don't fall for the promises: don't join for something in the future! Chances are it won't come, the person who said that won't be there anymore or got overruled. You'll get higher or responsiblities but without the promotion to see "how you're doing" first. Benefits: there is a huge gap in benefits across the offices, maybe even intentionally to slowly dry out the regional offices or hubs. Customer proximity or local language isn't relevant anymore, centralization is key and english "good enough". No interest in personal growth. There is always a budget for personal growth mentioned, but whenever someone had an idea how to use that budget for his personal developement it was too expensive, not relevant, already used for some "team releated initiative" or it just took ages to come to a decision. The culture slowly died. Nowadays it's far away from being transparent, can do attitude and grow together. Many team leads and managers are inexperienced and just got up there due to tenure, relationships or elbows, creating an environment of micromanagement, mistrust and fear. Politics, especially between Europe and the US, is all present and people get blocked in progressing if they are on the wrong side of the pond. At the beginning it was a company with belgian roots and european mindset but it has become a wanna be US corporate for a very high price... the culture and the people.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience at Showpad. We value your insights and take them seriously as we continually strive to improve our workplace environment and practices. We appreciate your recognition of the talented individuals and the potential of our product. The contributions of our team members and the vision behind our Sales Enablement solution are indeed central to our mission. However, we regret to hear about the challenges you've encountered, particularly regarding turnover, unclear hiring decisions, and the lack of a robust performance review process. We understand the importance of stability and clarity in leadership, as well as the need for transparent communication and a fair evaluation processes. While it’s true departments historically have approached performance reviews in their own way, in 2023, we introduced a company-wide performance enablement system of which we have had two cycles so far, with impressive participation from Showpadders at 98%. We will take your feedback into account as we further assess and refine our hiring and performance management practices. We have noted your comments about benefits, personal growth opportunities, and company culture. We are committed to ensuring equity and consistency across our offices and to providing meaningful opportunities for professional development. When comparing benefits packages across all our operating countries, it is important, however, to take into account the local differences in tax systems and employment law. These elements drive the development of our packages. We appreciate your advice to management and will carefully review our hiring processes and how we invest in our employees as we actively seek feedback to address any areas of concern. Your input is invaluable as we work towards creating a better workplace for all. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. We are committed to listening, learning, and taking action to create a positive and fulfilling experience for our employees at Showpad.

Pros

Historically had good pros (but they are disappearing). Still has a very good healthcare plan, good people, and a flexible office policy.

Cons

Lots of big changes with a merger and a PE firm coming in. Many well liked leaders choosing to leave. Processes and strategy disappearing. Communication from leadership becoming less transparent.
