Pros
I once would have said this is a great place to start your career and move on, but junior employees tend to get the brunt of the bad management. The more seasoned employees know they can push back. The best thing about this company is the health insurance. That's about the only consideration the ownership gives to employees, but it's actually just a benefit of being such a big company.
Cons
Inept businessmen have been grinding the editorial side down to a nub for years. The newsroom just unionized to try to stop some of the bleeding. The company has laid off employees after boasting of high profits, with two weeks' severance, then turned around and asked remaining staff to keep doing even more with less. Morale just keeps plummeting.
