Pros
Smaller company and teams. The ability to wear multiple hats and gain experience outside your exact job exists for those ambitious enough to learn new skills. Good work/life balance.
Cons
Middle management doesn't lead. Just because you're a great engineer or technician does not mean you can manage. Too much drama and politics for such a small company due to lack of leadership at the mid levels. Serious lack of communications from the top down. The only reviews/raises given are to those who threaten to quit. Loyal employees are never rewarded and often feel left out and then leave to be promoted or obtain cost of living raises.
