Promotions and raises aren’t about skill or tenure anymore. If partners don’t personally see your value, you’re stuck. Leadership used to be supportive, but now managers dodge people and dump work just to avoid writing review notes. Outsourcing has only made things worse.
Work‑life balance is a joke. Everything revolves around hitting your hours, and everyone knows the only way to survive is to inflate them. Management knows it too, they just won’t admit it. That’s the culture.
Staff and seniors are the only ones who actually communicate. Managers and partners barely read emails. The environment is toxic, and it’s not changing. Hours drive revenue, so if you don’t hit them, you’re at risk. But if you put too many hours into a project, that’s a problem too. It’s a no‑win system.
Overall, it's very toxic and draining.
