Pros

Getting a line under 6 months. The training teachers were an unrealistic great representation of the company. They were fair, patient and knew their job and how to get the information across. That was the last time anything was efficiently run or the last time you felt cared for as an employee. But here's the major point, you're not an official employee until AFTER you complete training and you graduate .

Cons

Management SUCKS, they have no clue what they're doing. But what they do know is disrespecting and hating their passengers and staff. This company doesn't give a crap about employees, just their bottom line at the cost of everyone. Customers are NO concern for this airlines either, read any reviews from pax and you will see how this company operates. They cancel flights with no notice or warning, they're late all the time. Passengers are CONSTANTLY angry and yelling at all Silver employees especially gate agents but definitely FAs. Top exec have told FAs and other employees they do not care if they're hurt on the job due to the company's fault. Didn't even pay for an ambulance by an FA hurt due to turbulence on a plane, told him to walk to hospital. This is a company that will give you points towards firing you for EVERY and ANY reason including being sick. You get points if you have a note, you get more points if you can't predict in advance that you will be sick in 48 hours. So if you wake up sick or get hurt on the way to work and you're in the emergency room calling them, YOU GET POINTS towards being fired, that stay on your record for a year. Basically this company will force out anyone who stays more than 6-12month. They don't want seniority FAs they want high turn around so they don't care about you. Crew scheduling sucks, they will not swap and create your schedule as stated during training. Why ? Their famous excuse is they don't have a enough reserve. But they have training classes every month and hire all the time. You can find someone to switch perfectly with but scheduling will deny it with no legitimate reason other than there's not enough reserve. So getting a line, apparently has no perks. There has been 2 months that resv FAs actually made more $$$ because of the restraints of adding or swapping trips with other FAs with lines. Crew scheduling will also constantly forget hotels for the crew so after 14 hours day and all you want is sleep for the few hours you get, you now have to wait in hotel lobby exhausted making calls back and forth so you can get a room. Airplanes are also some of the loudest in the industry. If you want to lose your hearing fast, this is the plane to be on, but you probably won't lose your hearing before you actually crash and die. These planes are CONSTANTLY late or canceled for repairs. I actually started praying again every time I'm on this death trap. Pilots know and joke about it all the time. Lastly this airlines does not support or back their employees against unruly or unreasonable passengers. I got 6 letters/emails/calls regarding positive reviews from passengers in a year, didn't hear a peep about them until a yearly review once. Then got 1 complaint from a passenger that I heard about IMMEDIATELY no waiting til yearly review and even though they agreed I followed the law and company rules and protocol they still reprimanded me and had a "hearing" to threaten me over a pax perceived opinion of them having to follow the rules. After this incident I lit a fire under my job search for a better airlines. I heard and read all the bad reviews before I came here, but it was the first airlines that hired me, so I jumped on it. But within months, I started looking for work. I did get a cjo with a national airlines which I start soon, and I can't wait to leave this horrible experience. My advice to anyone RUN in the opposite direction. If you're new and want a job in the airline industry yes you can start here to get your experience under your belt but if you're smart you will IMMEDIATELY start looking for other work and use your travel benefits to fly to other locations for interviews like I did. Half the people in my class and the class behind me all had new jobs before the first 6 months, most had a new job before the first year, ALL had a new job within a year and a half. It's a high turn around for a reason, just make sure you're in control of your turn around before this company burns you. Lastly this company has HORRIBLE travel benefits if that's what you're looking for. Most airlines won't work with this airlines, they literally have half the airlines to partner with since I started. No one wants to fly Silver so their buddy passes are worthless cause everyone is terrified to fly on these planes, even though they're pretty much always empty. Not to mention you couldn't plan a trip due to them constantly canceling flights last second. For a small fee you can fly with Southwest or Jetblue . Or American or United for a higher fee.
