Pros

Decent place to start your career if you have no other options. Keep in mind there is NO upward mobility at Sinclair, in working there for over a year there wasn't one person in any department who switched teams or was promoted that wasn't already upper upper management.

Cons

- Benefits are laughably bad. Sinclair is an east coast company, there are no perks you get at any other tech company. Bad and expensive healthcare coverage, few vacation days, no work/life balance, they even make you pay for parking. - If you haven't been there years and aren't in the in-crowd, be prepared to be treated like crap. You'll get the projects no one else wants to work on. - There are no promotions, no upward mobility - The work environment is very political. Between terrible managers and strong-arming C-level bosses, everyone is always on tiptoes. Work constantly gets disrupted, redirected, and thwarted, on the whim of an unseen boss. Many people are let go in the dead of night without warning or reason. - The company itself is embarrassing. Be prepared to be embarrassed to tell people where you work, with a lot of "You work at THAT Sinclair?" They will not change, and no one is forcing them to change. The worst part of Sinclair? Everyone except a few managers HATE working there. I've worked at a few tech companies in Seattle, and there's always a bit of grumbling about this thing or that decision. But virtually EVERYONE hates their job and is actively looking for new work. It's uncanny.

Pros

Flexibility with my schedule to be able to take and pick up my kids from school. Great team to work with at my location. Ability to train and do jobs outside of my regular task to get hands on experience in other areas.

Cons

Department was restructured and my position was relocated.

Pros

Job can be fun depending on if you're a natural performer. You gather valuable experience interviewing others.

Cons

Terrible pay and culture. They will likely not pay you commission for anything you sell so do not take that on. Focus on your primary job.
