Pros

Working remote, lots of autonomy, no conflict

Cons

Everyone working on different projects, very poor communication, poor planning, very little actual support, culture of baptism by fire, have to do everything on your own, impossible expectations. Cracking competitors software to reverse-engineer product. You provide all your own equipment, pay is below market but they expect you to wear lots of hats. Highly out-sourced team, poor team culture. No progression, very little variety in work. Culture rewards mediocrity and placidity, punishes independent thought and creativity.

Thank you for the review. We don't take this feedback lightly, and we agree with some of these comments. Having a flat structure with a strong focus on product means the management team can get stuck in the weeds and planning could definitely be improved. This is something we are working on so we really appreciate the comments. In terms of the autonomy required, it doesn't suit everyone. We have found people either strive, grow and learn with the freedom and responsibilities we provide or they struggle. I believe we provide a good amount of support (with weekly one-on-ones, team stand-ups, link with a mentor, direct communication with directors). It's possible you may have missed out on some recent changes in culture - with Employee Share Plan, reimbursement for computers and equipment, revenue share/bonuses at Product Manager level - sounds like you might not have been around to see those. I also want to mention we don't reverse engineer products, but we do use demo and trial software of other products to test and verify results which is I believe to be common practice in the industry. Your comments on communication are fair enough and it's certainly an ongoing challenge with those working remotely. This is something we will continue to work on and build into our future plans. The flat org structure is something we are planning for in 2023 to take management 'out of the weeds'. I would be more than happy to meet and learn more about where we can improve; this would be very helpful. Our employment retention and anonymous surveys are very positive, so we are truly disappointed that someone who was with us for more than 3 years didn't have more positives to share. Thank you again for taking the time to give this feedback and helping us to improve!

Pros

_ Team culture: The biggest strength. A diverse, friendly and respectful team environment. Great opportunity to work with colleagues across the world. _ Hands-on experience: Plenty of opportunities to take initiative, experiment and build skills across multiple areas. If you're adaptable and self-driven, you'll find a lot to learn here. _ Flexibility: Flexible working arrangements and remote options are available.

Cons

Processes, timelines and ownership could be more clearly defined to support coordination across teams.

Pros

Great remote work setup that gives you flexibility and balance The founders really trust you to take ownership of your projects — your ideas and input actually matter You can earn incentives when working on special projects A diverse and supportive team where you get to work with people from different countries and backgrounds Being part of a small team gives you the chance to experience a wide range of work — from customer support and creating blog or video content to software demos, client meetings, development, helping colleagues, and even planning the product roadmap.

Cons

Working with teammates across different time zones can sometimes slow down progress of your work. Since the team is small, resources are limited — usually only one or two people handle a project, which can be a bit tiring at times.
