Pros

Company focused on the idea of future growth by reshoring US semiconductor manufacturing.

Cons

The entire facility is managed by three people with no people leader experience and massive egos. Each of these so-called leaders has metrics that somehow compete with one another on a daily basis, leading to very unclear and conflicting priorities for individual contributors. The company advertises a culture of open communication but actively silences anyone with an actual opinion. From a technical standpoint, the Florida fab is equipped with old and failing equipment, while pushing employees to perform state of the art semiconductor back-end manufacturing. Company does not want to invest in new equipment and would rather customers buy new tools. DI water system was full of algae, and resistivity of water was not even monitored. Medical benefits from obscure out of state provider not recognized in Florida with exorbitant deductibles and out of pocket cash maximums. Recent layoffs ( November 2023) at both Florida and Minnesota fabs.

Pros

Work was interesting for the most part. Had some good challenges. Co-workers were great and made some good friends. First couple levels of managers cared and were great.

Cons

Typical shortsighted company that talks about how difficult it was to have layoffs then goes ahead and brags about how we've had our best quarter yet. Upper management either is incompetent or doesn't care. Probably both. They reduced what was already terrible pto by a couple hours and made it more difficult for use to earn our fab performance bonuses. Benefits are mediocre. Pay is on the low end. My advice is get a job at any of the other semiconductor companies in Texas. They all pay better and have better benefits.
