Pros

The facility built by Osceola County in Kissimmee is actually nice, spacious, and clean.

Cons

Skywater technology has 2 locations: The headquarter is in MN called SWMN and the second location in Kissimmee Florida call SWFL (thanks to Osceola County). The SWFL work environment is bad. There is a low-level management made of 3 people with very poor management skills and 2 of them with low technical education for the position (former technicians). They call themselves leaders: I am not sure of what! The only one with good technical education is unfortunately the opposite to a polite, courteous, or good mannered, person. I do not have to say the adjective to describe this person. The true is they are in such positions by doing some serious bootlicking. They are protected and supported by SWFL site manager, HR and ultimately by the SWMN management. They have lost more 7 engineers and scientists, and 2 technicians y the last 2 years along. My advice is to stay away from this place unless you are desperate since this is a very corrupted placed. The culture here is backstabbing, bootlicking, where knowledge, talent and creativity is second to the company culture.

Pros

The work is meaningful and the processes involved make you think. Lots of very experienced and knowledgeable co-workers, which made learning on the job engaging.

Cons

Not enough people to provide support in all areas if someone is sick or has the day off. Communication issues arose between different groups such as engineering and production when tight deadlines need to be met.
