Pros

Free snacks and coffee, nice office, decent work/life balance

Cons

Lack of long-term projects, lack of innovative work in general, lack of transparency on project pipeline and available roles, low quality managers, sales trying to sell project work without understanding what they are selling or what the client's needs are, quality of consultants and work diluted by new analyst program. Regional programs mean that people are actually traveling more often, which goes against one of the main reasons that people join the company in the first place. Company is basically becoming a smaller version of any of the larger IT outsourcing vendors including the high degree of turnover, but without the ability to compete on a cost basis due to not having offshore teams, and without offering pay/comp/benefits/bonuses/PTO that is competitive with those firms.

This is John Tobin. First on the project transparency - have you seen the new project pipeline / staffing portal? In terms of some of our Global and Regional team capabilities - these exist to enhance what we can do at Local level. Also, "No unwanted travel" is not going away. All told within the roughly 7400+ employees we have in the company, the majority of our people do not travel on a regular basis - maybe 15% of our teams travel and this is honestly that individuals choice to do that. These points aside, we continue to evolve and in some parts of our business, we can definitely improve especially in the quality of the engagements we work on. I'd be happy to talk to you more about this if you would like - simply email me at johnt@slalom.com to set up a time to speak. Pros

•There is an impressive budget, especially for high-level events, ancillary experiences, client giveaways, and premium swag. Management does not hesitate to fund top-notch brand experiences when needed. •The company offers a highly competitive benefits and perks package that remains a strong selling point.

Cons

•The "fiercely human" core value does not match daily operations. Collaboration is routinely replaced by a self-service model of training videos and help articles. •These recurring shifts are designed to manufacture the appearance of fiscal stability for the benefit of external stakeholders and clients, while leaving core operational deficits unaddressed. •Organizational maturity is low. Teams operate in deep silos, the internal tech stack is outdated, and there is a distinct lack of adequate project and event management software.
