Pros
Salary/bonus competitive Good focus on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives Some trustworthy people to truly help and support you in your journey if you're lucky enough to find them and interact with them Remote friendly/supportive
Cons
- Seemingly supportive environment, but depends on your manager/team - Claims work/life balance, but you'll soon learn the real-time fine print ("oh well it depends on your client project") aka, you will work long, difficult hours and weekends. Clients are difficult, but they don't set boundaries. They overpromise in their contracts. It's all about the bottom line and if you don't sign your soul over to devil early on, you're dead in the water later. - Unless you're in a good group with a true leader who truly knows how to lead and support people, you'll be thrown under the bus - Beware of the surfacey people who are only out for themselves. I was thrown under the bus by someone I worked with for only a few days and my manager believed them over me. - Revisionist history and negative embellishing on performance reviews not in your favor. Almost like they want you to fail (see above)
