Pros

SlideGenius is a company full of genius people, like literally. From the design team, copywrite team, project management team, and management team. Everyone has a culture and majority has the same wave length. I have never worked for a company that had such amazing employees. Majority of the employees are not hostile and do not divulge in menial rumor spreading and back stabbing like in other companies I have worked for in the past. When I have lunch with the employees, they mostly talk about light hearted comedic topics, or deep and meaningful conversations, and mostly food. Trust me when I say that you will feel warm and welcome when you join this company. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world and there are a lot of problems with structure and management in the company.

Cons

The employees are extremely UNDER VALUED. The company does NOT take enough steps to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and equally. The following examples are listed below: - Majority of the employees are underpaid or unfairly paid. - The selective senior political hierarchy . The company only seems to value what their chosen managers think without even listening to the majority of the employees. The company has favoritsm when it comes to certain employees who do not perform up to par to the standard of work that they should be doing. Just because they're there longer, doesn't mean they are right for the position. - Lack of proper team building. The word team building isn't just to go out and have fun. It is to have a stronger bond with the employees to have a tightly knit, honest and transparent relationship. When there is a team building, employees shouldn't have to come to work (night shift people having to NOT sleep just to attend team building). I understand that it is a 24/7 company but employees are not robots and they need to take care of their health too. So if there is a team building, allot a day/days when employees can take a break and not go to work to attend the team building. - facilities in the office are not improved on. Men's toilet's flush is still broken. There should be atleast 2 macbooks and designers should be trained for mac/apple requirements and features.

Pros

A relatively okay place to earn some experience.

Cons

This is one of the most horrible positions that I have ever had. At first it seemed like a decent place, but it did not take long to notice how things actually work. Upper management says all the right things, but when real problems come up, not much gets done. Instead of fixing what employees are struggling with, they would rather focus on little distractions and act like that solves anything. The ceo talks about standards, but some people clearly play by different rules. Pay is inconsistent, favoritism is obvious, and nobody can really explain why two people doing similar jobs are treated so differently. Even small things like breaks or schedules turn into a conversation, which gets old fast. Time off is hard to use without guilt, support is hit or miss, and people mostly keep their heads down. I left tired, frustrated, and not seeing much reason to stay. Run away as fast as possible.
