Pros

You'll never go hungry while you suffer working for Smart Choice.. They spend money that investors give to the company on Keurig coffee and organic treats and snack bars.

Cons

The leaders of the company pretend to value employees "always" but really seem to only value the peers that they share fancy office space next to in Chicago. If you don't believe this review, listen to them on the all hands calls they have where they golf clap each other along but fail to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the employees doing the hard work. You will work, work, work, work, and just when you think you don't have to work and have a day off, think again, you'll be working (don't forget about working on holidays). If you say an opinion for improvement, don't be surprised if you are the next employee getting canned if the owners of the company are not a fan of your idea or thoughts. If you like the show survivor and always wanted to be on it, here is your big chance!

Pros

They answer emails. They notify you of anything the carriers might need from the client.

Cons

1. Most of the underwriters do not care and will not read what you wrote in EZLynx, two underwriters were so bad that one use to quote me a rate 2 to 3 times higher than my competitor for the same quote and same carrier and when he got caught he would say he forgot to claim the renewal ( claim the renewal on a prefered carrier that does not do lapse in caoverage his boss and my manger could care less. I lost a lot of my clients cause of them. 2. If you hire a lawyer to try and get out of your contract their lawyers will run up your bill with your lawyer just sending messages to him and so on they know how to flex their ego and power). (They do not care about their agents). If you do the agent segment with Smart Choice they will hit you with a 2 year non-compete clause with each carrier. Last but not least if you rub them the wrong way and of a lot of agents have they will hold you to the 180 days when you need to exit. Smart choice was the Biggest business mistake of my life.
