Pros

Young team, based in London. Made me realise they are much better companies to work at

Cons

Having come across Smart's Glassdoor profile and seeing the numerous fake reviews, I thought it appropriate to shed some light on my experience there. The company is run by one man, who installs fear in its management team. His previous experience as an accountant means they are constantly findings way to cut corners and sees staff as an expense. I worked on the phones as a ‘broker’, your days were broken up by my manager sending across emails every hour or so reminding you of how long you had been on the phone and how many calls you were made. Your calls were then listened to by management and often analysed at random meetings. Hours were long and pay was not reflective of the extra hours you put in. I was often promised big salaries dependent on strange guidelines and targets that were neither agreed, nor known. I think the fact that the company has gone to the extremes of writing fake reviews should serve any potential employee as a warning.
