Pros
-Opportunity to work from home -Decent pay/benefits -The experience working with a startup may be a pro
Cons
-Long interview process. You will spend a lot of your time doing multiple phone interviews, zoom interviews, and taking estimator tests as well. -Company is not economically resistant to a recession or pandemic. Ironically, majority of estimators that worked from home were laid off due to the pandemic. -Company struggles to profit due to poor money management. Therefore, they require employees to produce unrealistic numbers and do a lot of overtime for the company to breakeven; you will be doing the work of 2 to 3 people. -Investor funding is what keeps the company afloat. -Call center staff is more micro managed, but that is because prior customer service staff constantly abused the system. -High turnover rate with call center staff, estimators and managers. -Don't expect to take a lunch as you're expected to pump 40+ estimates per day. (The numbers are doable if you don't take a lunch/breaks and if you request small collision claims to be funneled into your queue). -Policy holders and body shops see our estimates as a joke plain & simple.
