Pros

Opportunity to work from home. Reasonably fair wages.

Cons

More focus on metrics to increase profitability opposed to providing the service for best out comes for the patient. Huge, unrealistic caseloads. Salaried position but frequent overtime to meet metrics and deadlines. They do not compensate for all out-of-pocket expenses incurred with performing your job. Leadership changes are made based on how well or poorly (preferred) the individual treats the staff. HR is not up-to-date on labor laws requiring individuals to be persistent with obtaining what is due to them. Management is not responsive or accurate in their assessments of employees based on preconceived opinions. There is a culture of disrespect. No opportunity for growth. Revolving door.

Pros

Literally just the mileage checks.

Cons

Constant layoffs, 3 since I’ve been here for 2 years. Mangement doesn’t care about you or your home life. They want metrics and numbers. You harass people all day even when they’ve declined to verify hipaa and services. They have a whole department for these calls yet leave it to the PHAs on top of their daily work. Even when members say no, they make you harass them again in a few months so they can decline again, leading to getting cussed out and abused by these members. They have no communication with procedure changes and policies. They change every week. You find out until you’re audited. They assign you new regions or other people regions without notice. You go from a manageable panel to a ridiculous amount of patients and they still want you to travel 5/10x a week.
