Pros

Community driven and great employees. Customers love and adore small town branches. No sales goals to meet so you can just focus on building relationships

Cons

Banking is a dying field. Small bank with little to no foot traffic. Customers love small town branches, however often complaints about high turnover

Pros

I'm always busy. I enjoy the diversity of, and roles I can take on in the development of our internal applications, from systems analysis to production implementation, and everything in-between.

Cons

Some of the customer benefits I would have liked 5 years ago have been implemented, so no cons at this time.

Pros

Slow, small community bank. Work with great, competent people at the branch level.

Cons

Upper management lacks the knowledge/experience to run a business, much less a bank. Branches are told to do things differently, everyone has different knowledge and no cohesive understanding of policies and procedures. Branch managers have little to no authority when trying to work with customers. HR is more concerned with BSA than with actual personnel issues (keep track of your vacation and sick time, because it's usually wrong). No reviews nor notifications given for promotions/raises. Favoritism given for employees with seniority, even in situations that would warrant HR termination.
