Pros
Sortable makes it easy to get work done; other employees are easy to approach and work with. Although the company is growing fast, it is still easy to get in touch with senior management, and even the newest employees get input on departmental goals and OKRs each quarter.
Many people at the company volunteer their time to help organize social events, and almost everyone sits down for the catered lunch at the same time, which makes it easier to get to know people, and makes the office environment more casual and stress-free.
Cons
Working in the advertising business, even indirectly, can be frustrating. Bigger players like Google and Facebook can make small changes to the way they do business that force smaller companies like Sortable to rapidly adapt or lose profitability. This has negatively affected us in the past, and will continue to be a problem, despite our best efforts. The people who stay the longest are the ones who can adapt to different roles according to their skills and the company's needs.
