Supportive, good benefits, a family in every way. Management really works to support everyone. The retirement plan is great once you've worked there long enough to be vested.

Job stability is falling apart because government is being destroyed from the state and federal level and the district can't control that.

- Lots of exposure to cross industry projects with varying responsibilities. - Opportunity for growth and professional development if you are seeking a career in local government/ nonprofit work - Excellent for connection building within region with influential leaders and industry pros - Acceptable benefits apart from lower 401(k) match contribution

- Minimal diversity from people of other cultures - Low pay which is typical of public sector work - Minimal opportunities for advancement. Basically you will need to wait for someone to resign before being eligible for promotion - Senior admin is at the whim of it's controlling board which comprises various Mayors from surrounding rural areas. Their reluctance to consistently support the organization is damaging to morale.
