Pros

-Great benefits (Health, Dental, 401k match etc) affordable and on the better side of coverage. -Satisfying work (often times we are working on projects that benefit the wildlife and people enjoying nature and usually we are pioneering those solutions- there is a mix of old projects that aren’t on the cutting edge- but there’s tons of new projects and development growth opportunities) -Upward mobility (I’ve read some of the other reviews on here and don’t understand- I’ve gotten several raises and responsibility advancements in just a few years by providing value) -Supportive leadership (there might be internal conflict here and there but it always seems genuine and for the good of the company)

Cons

-Little Busy (There’s plenty of work to do- but it is definitely manageable and the management team understands this and takes care of people)

Pros

Cool office with lots of wildlife mounts and exposure to leaders. Many leaders and employees are true sportsmen who love the outdoors, wildlife, and the mission of conservation. Pretty good pay packages. Established systems and processes for certain activities (QA Testing, development pipelines, etc.)

Cons

Very poor pandemic response with multiple office closures and widespread belief that COVID-19 was fake news or liberal propaganda. Very flat organization. Individual level employees have exposure to the whims of C-level executives on a daily/weekly basis. The CTO shouldn't have opinions about the quality of work done by individual contributors. Work is contract-driven with state and tribal governmental organizations. There is pretty good variety of work, but there can be large differences between projects. Some entities use versions of the product that were custom jobs and they are very different when trying to maintain them. Some dev work is outsourced and then further polished in-house, but there is a pretty stark difference in quality of work.
