Pros
Fun to work with the rings, to learn about diamonds, and clients were generally great and excited but overall not a good experience to say the least
Cons
The pay is very low. I was constantly being called into work last minute. There is very little training except for the part where they want you to memorize a script and you can't go off even a little bit. There is a lot of things to learn but not sufficient training. There is very high turn over, I constantly see job postings. There was one manager who was great and worked with me eventually to create a plan as I wasn't properly trained to begin with but then she left the company. The next day I went to work and was fired. The conversation literally went like "have a seat. We are letting you go and because it's under 3 months we don't have to tell you why. Any questions?" And that was it. It was horrible so I walked to the bathroom as I started to tear up (I'd never been fired before) and when I opened the door to walk out the same lady was standing there and said she would escort me out. It blew my mind. I couldn't say goodbye to the people working or anything, she walked me out of the store like a criminal or something.
